LPS - Systems Architect - Pasadena, CA - 6 months with possible hire

Systems Architect - As a systems architect, candidates are expected to be self-motivated and have the ability to provide technical leadership and support to teams throughout the development life-cycle.

Solicit requirements from Business stakeholders, Business analysts, SMEs, partners and Customers in a fast paced, scrum/agile environment. Convert business needs into technical software designs. Work with Divisional Architect, and other architecture team members, to develop technology roadmaps for the entire division defining best in class software, processes and systems. Work with the business, partners and customers to design new technology offerings and with development to see the designs to fruition.

Develop technical design docs, mockups and POCs. Guide the development team in the implementation of the planned systems and ensure best practices are followed throughout the SDLC. Provide guidance to QA and UAT testers creating test cases for designed software. Work with the operations and infrastructure teams to ensure the environmental requirements of the deployed application are met and that applications are enterprise class with scalable, redundant systems.

Create conceptual, logical and physical models. Model software, entities and database schema for planned system. Work with UX Engineer to ensure software functionality meshes with usability.

SKILLS:

SQL Server, IIS, .NET 3.5, Silverlight, SSIS, SSRS, Windows Workflow, Visual Studio 2008-2010, TFS, Visio, ASP.NET, AJAX, WCF, MSMQ, XML

EDUCATION:

BS Degree Computer Sciences or equivalent work experience.
